She is a long-standing member of the London garage rock scene - for a long time she was in the Headcoatees, the female counterpoint to Billy Childish's group the Headcoats. Now she does more croony/ballady things, but in a pre-Beatles, early-60s style, from what I know.

If you want similar stuff, go to some of the French pop of the 60s. Female - France Gall, male - Jacques Dutronc.

Thanks- not what I was expecting, I think!

She's on the White Stripes song 'It's True That We Love One Another', too.

Holly Golightly is the main female character in the novella BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS by Truman Capote. She was a prostitute. AFAIR. Played by Audrey Hepburn in the movie, opposite George Peppard.

If I've got any elements of that wrong, I apologise to the pedants.

roffle- yes, I know Capote's oeuvre well Eekamoose... I'm talking about the music artiste!
