is your DP out of touch with pop music? My DP (29) doesn't know who the Ting Tings are.

he didn't even recognise the bloody songs when I put them on You Tube and he is only 29. I was . Maybe I am expecting too much?

Looks like I will be soley responsible for DS's cultural education .

i'm 30 and I know is that they did that awful song about 'it's not my name' that chris moyles messed with which was hilarous

oh I missed the Chris Moyles version . I like it when he messes about with stuff.

Scott Mills did something with the Space Pirates theme I think? Can remember which song he mashed it up with though.

.....the "Ting Tings"?

I thought I was unfamiliar with this beat combo, too.

However I looked on You Tube, and was enlightened.

I now know who made the astonishingly irritating "song" in which a blonde 12 year old bemoans the inability of others to recall her name.

.....reminiscent of this shite I felt.

I love the Ting Tings.I am 28.

DH likes them too.

We are going to see them at Leeds festival at the end of August and are very excited.

However DH also likes Neil Diamond which is something that if I think about it too much would make me not fancy him anymore.And please dont tell me he is having a resurgence.If he is its in an ironic kind of way, not in the serious way that DH likes him.Cracklin' Rosie.Feck off.

I've youtubed said Ting Tings and I don't think they add much to the gaiety of nations.

DP loves most music but hasn't got a blardy clue who anyone actually is.
This leads to some very amusing moments with him tunelessly humming a line to me and me desperately trying to guess who he is on about.
The Ting Tings - they're ok, a bit novelty and very shouty!

DP has real old mans taste in music, ie Elvis, Sinarttra.
Hw mocks me when I put the 'Kerrang' channel on and laughs at my 'teenage ' taste in music.
The Tings Tings are so yesterday!
