It's just matt johnson. as far as I know he is still going. Never were very mainstream though, with the exception of Infected

Monkeytrousers · 18/06/2008 13:18

here

Monkeytrousers · 18/06/2008 13:20

Have to say I am a way past the 6th form politics of it all now. Him in that link holding up a poster 'we are the 51st state of the usa' - is hardly insightful or even polemic.

Monkeytrousers · 18/06/2008 13:22

I find the idea of still having the same level of political apreciation that you did 21 years ago a bit worrying actually. But it was a good song.

DaDaDa · 18/06/2008 13:27

Smile is a great song.

Takes himself a bit seriously though.

DaDaDa · 18/06/2008 13:28

Uncertain Smile, even

PuppyMonkey · 18/06/2008 13:31

Thank you all. Yes, loved all those songs, pretentious or not! I'm always singing This is the Day...

Altogether now...

You pull back the curtains
and the sun burns into your eyes
You watch a plane flying across a clear blue sky...

I loved Soul Mining. I stil have the Infected 'bone crusher mix' somewhere too.

Mind bomb was however a - um - bomb!

Monkeytrousers · 18/06/2008 13:34

and I think he did a covers ablum of Wille Nelson songs, or someone like that...

PuppyMonkey · 18/06/2008 13:35

Ooh yes, Mindbomb was appalling...

Look at us a pair of Monkeys talking to eachother!

DaDaDa · 18/06/2008 13:39

Hank Williams I believe, Ms Simiantroosers.

UnquietDad · 18/06/2008 14:28

I like their song "This is the Day".

OrmIrian · 18/06/2008 14:30

Used to love listening to Infected. Hmm... forgotten about them.

Monkeytrousers · 18/06/2008 16:05

But to everyone listening PM, we just sound like 'oh oh oh' Higher species indeed!

This is the day is off Soul Mining UQD, if yer didn't know that already.

Yes you are right DaDaDA. (have you changed your name again?)

PuppyMonkey · 18/06/2008 16:06

I googled and the last thing I could find is he was living in Sweden - but that was a couple of years back. What a mystery to just disappear from the music business altogether...
