Rediscovering old flames (musically speaking)

So, I've been on YouTube seeking out music I listened to as a teen and have found some gems.

Pavement- Crooked Rain/Slanted Enchanted
Juliana Hatfield
Lemonheads
L7
..and loads more.
Also found some stuff that made me turn into my Mother-'what's that bloody racket you're playing?'

Bikini Kill

So what old musical flames have you rediscovered, any genre, any era?
Anything you can't believe you ever liked?
Or are you the type who still has every cd you ever bought?

I also love Joe Jackson!

A friend reminded me the other day of Michelle Shocked and how much I used to like her. Am going to seek out her stuff on i-Tunes.

StrictMachine · 18/06/2008 15:36

Oh oh and 'Hole'

I am doll eyes.. doll mouth.. etc etc.

wooga · 18/06/2008 21:58

I couldn't really afford many albums when I was younger(smoking was an expensive habit-glad I quit!)-most of my stuff was taped off Lps or cds from my friends.

Just treated myself to Pulp's 'Different Class' after nostalgia trip on youtube

I still like some of Hole's stuff!Used to love Babes in Toyland too!

Ledodgy · 18/06/2008 22:00

I found this again the otherday I loved it and the cute little indie dance he does. Ahh those were the days.

frankiesbestfriend · 19/06/2008 12:07

Love that Ledodgy

I have loads of LPs too, but no record player to listen on.

Have a look on youtube at ITVs chart show indie charts to jog your memory, all sorts of great stuff from early 90s.

Just been dancing round the kitchen to Menswear- Ill manage somehow. Brings back many happy indie disco memories
