Not sure where to post this thread??!

I am moving to Manchester within the next year. Am early forties and love my music and going out to enjoy music ~ r’n’b, house, trance, a Little Rock, even proper old soul and a little jazz! I just love listening to music and dancing (but only if it’s my kind of music! 😂)

much of a scene? And if so where? Anyone fancy a meet up when we move?

Oh gosh, I used to live in Manchester. I love all genre of music and dancing. The young me wish I was still living there.
Easy to make friends in the big city. There are a lot more things to see and do. Try the Northern Quarter. Visit Band on the Wall. There are other places, but I’m not sure if they are still open. Like the Ritz. I left Manchester about 17 years ago.

All the best, x

Manchester is the best city for music! There is so much of all types. I actually have visions of retiring there (and living in the old Hacienda building).

Favourite venues are: Albert Hall (crazy history - it was hidden away for years and is so stunning); Aviva Studios; Ritz with it's beautiful dance floor; Deaf Institute is great with seating at the back. There is so many more! Apollo is a beautiful building too.

My favourite club is the Fab Cafe which is a sci fi themed bar. It's free and has a great mix of ages and music.

You’ll be spoilt for choice. Music is everywhere in Manchester.
