Is anyone else planning on seeing this? It’s got brilliant reviews and has been developed in conjunction with his family. UK release date is tomorrow. I’m off to see it on Monday and very excited!

Oh I’d love to see that. Just checked all local cinemas and it’s not on next week at all, though that might be because it’s half term so lots of family films on. Fingers crossed for the week after. We have a Picturehouse locally which I hope will have it.

@YessicaHaircut Hope you’re able to find somewhere. I’m seeing it at our local Odeon, which I was surprised was showing it at all, albeit just the one show on Monday night.

Saw it yesterday and loved it

Saw it a week or so ago and sniffled through most of it. It was very moving. Gorgeous film.

Such a beautiful film (and man). Had to wait a while at the end to pull myself together! He broke so many hearts

I thought it was wonderful! I liked that even though it was ‘official’ and produced by his mum, it wasn’t completely hagiographical. Had to try really, really hard to hold it together at the end. I was just out of uni when he passed. Nearly 30 years on and a mum, I felt so much for Mary having to go through that. Oh and Joan and her comment about how young they were and she wished she could tell him the things they worried about don’t really matter 😭.
