Anyone else love this track?

I keep saying to dh that I think it's about a suicide attempt and he disagrees. Anyone else think it's about a suicide attempt, maybe fictional of course.

Love it it's a beautiful song, love the whole album and yes agree it does sound like it might be about an overdose.

oh yeah, its either about attempting suicide through an overdose, not succeeding, waking up maybe a last attempt of getting someone she cares about to take notice of her?

He has a HUGE Goldfrapp crush at the moment, it's quite sweet, he says things like 'She's quite kooky isn't she' in a vile way and I've told him to keep his festerings to himself!

Also that swelling vocal bit in the first track, does it remind you (you may not be old enough) of the 10cc track 'I'm not In Love'? It reminds me of that a bit.

But what I really meant to ask discreetly dya think it's TRUE about the suicide attempt or imagined? She gives almost nothing away in her interviews but she is almost certainly 42 according to one article I read. She obfuscates about her age which is fair enough. Imagine wearing hotpants at 42, I am in Awe of her.
