Oasis Ticket Email - Fake?

Lovewine1975 · 14/05/2025 16:51

Hi, I have received an email today from what looks like Oasis website, saying that a limited amount of tickets are going on sale tomorrow on Ticketmaster at 8am and I have been selected for previously trying to queue for tickets but being unsuccessful, there is a code and links to the website. Has anyone else received this email, beginning to think its fake as seen nothing on any social media about it or online anywhere? The Oasis email address is [email protected]

I've had an email from the same address a while back for an Oasis ticket competition, which seemed pretty legit. Openstage seems to be a genuine fan management/engagement platform. Good luck - I'm jealous, my DS would love to have tickets.

Lovewine1975 · 14/05/2025 21:56

@lifemakeoverThanks I always worried about scammers! This is the third time I’ve tried to get tickets so hopefully third time lucky

I had it too and got tickets - worst date and up in the gods but still! I’m really hoping I haven’t been scammed, for no other reason that DD will be heartbroken. It all seems legit and te tickets are showing up on my TM account.

Onthemoooove · 21/05/2025 11:50

I've got one of those emails, for Wembley September dates. On sale tomorrow am. I'm assuming legit. @Picoloangel how much were the tickets, were they easy to get?

lifemakeover · 21/05/2025 11:55

I've got one too now - nervous and excited as DS will be absolutely beside himself if I manage to get tickets. Also interested to know what the availability was like and how much!

Picoloangel · 21/05/2025 16:28

All appears legit as they are showing in my TM account. Ours were 124 each and no availability for any dates other than Sept - I was only trying to buy 2 - so I wouldn’t waste your time. It was v straightforward other than the trying different dates which as I said was a waste of time. All done by 8.30ish am v different to last August!!’

TimeForTeaAndToast · 21/05/2025 16:49

It's legit. DD got a ticket. Trying for more than one didn't work, but I guess that would unlikely.

Picoloangel · 21/05/2025 17:34

What’s frustrating is that you have to try for dates individually the go back in the queue! I tried for July dates and then gave up and went straight to Sept and got tickets pretty easily.

lifemakeover · 21/05/2025 19:31

Exciting! Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning (and yes am not up for wasting half a day like I did last summer).

Picoloangel · 21/05/2025 20:01

I am sure you won’t have to. What was frustrating was that I couldn’t copy and paste the code from my e mail and kept mistaking I for 1! Then as I said if you try and book a date and there are no tickets you get kicked out and have to start again but there was never any more than a few minutes to wait. My strong advice is just go for Sept - we don’t have great tickets by any means but we will be there!!!!

Good luck!

The email I have says it's only for 27/28 September at Wembley. Waiting room opens 7.45, with sale starting 8am tomorrow. What time did you log on as I recall a queue to get in the queue last time!

Thanks!

Yes same - I'm wondering what time to start trying to get on/in.

lifemakeover · 22/05/2025 08:14

Got them! Hooray. We are also so far up and back that I don't think we'll be able to see anything. I am not even a massive fan (I was firmly in the Blur camp back in the day, so actually feel a bit disloyal) but DS is OBSESSED.

Olinguito · 22/05/2025 08:16

Much to my surprise I was successful this morning - bought 2 tickets! It only took about 10mins in total too. I hope everyone else has the same experience.

Onthemoooove · 22/05/2025 08:24

Bummer! The only tickets I could find were £456 each which is out of my budget sadly. Got to the front of the queue really quickly too so was hopeful. We could only do the Saturday and even that wasn't ideal as it meant DD coming back from uni after just one week! @lifemakeover @Olinguito when are you going and what did you pay if you don't mind me asking? It did say the better availability was for Sunday. Wondering if it's worth trying for July/August nearer the time to see if there are returns?

Olinguito · 22/05/2025 08:31

@Onthemoooove I booked for the Sunday, and the tickets were £90, but once all the fees were added came to £103 each. They are very high up, on the side about mid point. I wouldn't have paid £465 either - what a pain.

Same! Also very high up but on the side so hopefully an ok view (albeit from a long way away). I was willing to pay a bit more (but definitely not £465!!) for better tickets and did brave the 'search again' option once but was too scared to to it again in case there was nothing at all left!

@Onthemoooove Sorry you couldn't get anything today. I think you will be able to get tickets a bit nearer the time. Loads of people will have got lucky last summer and bought them but then will not actually be that bothered about going/something else will come up. To be honest, I'll keep an eye out for slightly better tickets nearer the time. Sign up for Twickets (official resale site) if you haven't already.

Onthemoooove · 22/05/2025 08:52

Thank you both! It did say in the waiting room that best availability was Sunday so no surprise really. Will keep trying for August tickets as DD coming back from uni when she will just have started would've been far from ideal, but she really wanted to see them.

Lovewine1975 · 22/05/2025 09:19

I had the same issue last week we could only find tickets that were out of our budget which was so disappointing, I was lucky to see Oasis twice back in the day but my DH would love to see them. Holding out hope still we can get some closer to the dates.

I got the same email and managed to get 3 tickets this morning. Pretty straightforward and very quick. Bank statement shows the money has gone to Ticketmaster. Had to take a small mortgage out but hey ho. Memories tho

Onthemoooove · 23/05/2025 11:32

Tried to set up an alert on twickets but not allowed as too high demand so I will be diligently checking every day and hope we get lucky!

randoname · 23/05/2025 11:39

Squee! Good luck everyone!
I got uninterrupted view “first row after standing” Wembley TS tickets last year direct from Ticketmaster. For £58. Could have bought 4 tickets for each night but couldn’t quite believe they were kosher/ immediately blocked by a tent.

How on earth did you manage that? I spent all day in a queue before the site crashed 😫

I spent days too! Maybe I was on some special list 😂It was weird, we were in block 104- amazing seats and not all the block was used. There had been quite a fuss first time round as some seats had very restricted views and I think they’d literally waited until everything was in situ before they released them.
