Only just under 16 standing pit O2

My DH has bought tickets for a concert at the O2 for the standing pit. He wants to take our DD as her 16th birthday treat. The thing is it's going to be 3 weeks before her birthday and the O2 website says no under 16s are allowed in the standing pit.
Have you got any experience if ID's are actually checked at the O2? She looks older than 16. Thanks!

Oh no , I’m starting to panic now . I’m taking DS and 2 friends. All not quite 16… I misread in the rush to book. Thought U16 was ok if accompanied by an adult but apparently not. Did they turn people away without ID?

Which O2? Their door policies (and enforcement thereof) vary wildly. Also, they are more likely to enforce if it's a pop act which attracts a lot of younger teenagers. Never had an issue for metal and rock acts.

O2 London for Radiohead . My niece attended a musical event there with friends, all U16 and standing and no ID required. But different people seem to have different experiences there
