Taylor Swift - when will tickets be transferrable?!

Anyone going to Edinburgh and been able to transfer the tickets yet?
Got tickets for London in August we want to transfer to a friend, the transfer button in Ticketmaster is still greyed out.
I asked Ticketmaster and they replied 'they will be transferrable nearer the time'!
We have tickets for Cardiff but got London too - was hoping to be able to transfer them (and get face value money back!) soon.
Have friends who I've promised them to so not interested in reselling them via the app.

Anyway - now Edinburgh is 'soon'... Has anyone got a functioning transfer button?!

I'm going to Liverpool and got this info in an email earlier.

The latest you should have tickets available is one week before the event. Please keep in mind that you will be able to transfer your tickets to family and friends once they are ready.

So if your tickets are for August then I wouldn't expect them to be transferable them for a while yet. I think part of the reason for it being so late on is it deincentivise touts.

Edinburgh are not transferable yet. Hopefully over the weekend or early next week

Dearover · 31/05/2024 21:21

I've received two messages tonight from Ticketmaster. Liverpool is 1 week before and Wembley is at least 2 weeks before. The VIP box for Anfield arrived today (for a friend). I'm slightly paranoid as both sets of tickets need to be transferred.

Balla18 · 01/06/2024 09:28

I have 2 VIP tickets for Edinburgh 8 June would like to swap for another venue.

Nomorepants · 01/06/2024 09:33

I was able to transfer via ticket master last week. Seems it’s on and off. Weird.

pink211979 · 03/06/2024 15:16

Hi does anyone know if the 13th Liverpool tickets are transferabe now? We bought tickets through a friend who has been saying they cant transfer and now not answering messages, horrible feeling about it all (: My 9 year old would be devastated if we could'nt go so now trying to scramble to sort something. If anyone has legit tickets for sale that they can transfer via Ticketmaster or AXS for liverpool or edinburgh (seated as shes too young for pitch) please let me know Thanks

SummaLuvin · 03/06/2024 15:55

we got an email last week stating "The latest you should have tickets available is one week before the event." and my tickets are not yet live. So you are looking at Thursday before you can get them really. Bear in mind they say should and knowing TM it wouldn't surprise me if Thursday came and went and they say they need a few more days.

Dearover · 03/06/2024 16:30

@pink211979 was it a real friend who you know who genuinely had the tickets or a vague FB acquaintance? Liverpool tickets are not available yet for transfer (see above)

CornflakesOnTheSolesOfHerShoes · 03/06/2024 16:36

When they’re transferable, does that mean that, if by some miracle I happened to be looking at Ticketmaster at the right time, resales might be available to mere mortals? Or would I still need the magic code?

Dearover · 03/06/2024 16:39

You can resell now via TM and buy as a member of the public. They will only allow transfers effectively at the last minute to minimise the risk of people selling their tickets multiple times to strangers by bank transfer.

SummaLuvin · 03/06/2024 16:41

Ticketmaster official resale has been going on for months, and no code is required for resale tickets, only firsthand tickets and obviously if new tickets are released (as was with Edinburgh) a code is needed for them. Resale is closed for VIP package tickets for June dates. I feel I have heard all resale is closed for June now, but not checked that.

pink211979 · 03/06/2024 16:42

It was someone my husband worked with that said his daughter had the tickets bought via ticketmaster but weren’t disable access so was parting with two of them but he’s been blanking messages the last week when we’ve chased the transfer of the tickets. Might just be that they can’t and are waiting till then to reply but just worried sick for the wee one so trying to get a back up plan just in case

CornflakesOnTheSolesOfHerShoes · 03/06/2024 16:42

Thanks @SummaLuvin!

Dearover · 03/06/2024 16:46

TM is encouraging everyone to use their official resale still. The VIP resale stopped because the VIP goodie boxes were being despatched from 17 April and could only be sent to the official purchaser's address.

SummaLuvin · 03/06/2024 16:47

@pink211979 honestly, it was a bit risky to agree to buy tickets from someone you have no relationship or trust with. I would be slightly dubious as these tickets are so so in demand most people wouldn't need to go to their parents colleagues wife to pass on the tickets, most of us with tickets have people within our immediate circle ready to bite our hands off for them. I hope you are ok, but maybe see if your DH can ask in person to reassure you.

SummaLuvin · 03/06/2024 16:48

thanks @Dearover I thought it would be very strange to close resale for standard tickets, people will still want to sell them on, and if nothing else why would TM miss out on making those fees again!

Miloandfreddy · 03/06/2024 16:51

I have four tickets for Dublin and got an email this morning to say that they would be ready soon.. at least two weeks before the concert which is 30th June! Then I can transfer (even though I have no intention of doing so, these tickets are priceless to me)

Aworldofmyown · 03/06/2024 16:55

What is the ticketmaster resale site? I have alerts set up for Twickets, didn't realise TM had their own!

user1471548941 · 03/06/2024 17:01

I went to Stockholm and the tickets were literally only transferable 24 hours before. We just didn’t bother- me and friend arrived together and they scanned her in ahead of me.

Dearover · 03/06/2024 17:02

Just go to TM and type in Taylor Swift. Obviously tickets posted are going within minutes, so there is an element of luck involved. Don't risk buying or swapping with anyone on social media (inc. MN) unless you genuinely know them. As the saying goes, if it's too good to be true...

Dearover · 03/06/2024 17:06

The SELL button is available whereas TRANSFER is still greyed out for Anfield and Wembley on TM.

DaisyHaites · 03/06/2024 17:13

There’s another thread that says transfer is not yet allowed on ticketmaster so they couldn’t have got the tickets to you yet. So all may not be lost, but it is still a risky situation.

ImASlowHorse · 03/06/2024 18:16

@pink211979 I have tickets for Liverpool on the 14th and they're not transferrable yet.

pink211979 · 03/06/2024 19:04

@SummaLuvin I see your point however my husband worked in a depot beside the guy and had been telling him it was all our daughter had asked for for her bday and it was only a few wks later he called to say his daughter had 4 tickets but was able to let 2 go as they hadn’t realised the section didn’t accommodate wheelchair access, yes in hindsight but when you have a 9 year old wee girl who’s dream is to see her idol we genuinely didn’t think he would be at it. Hopefully we’re wrong and all is ok just a worried mum
