Just catching up with how Eras went in Melbourne today...Or yesterday!
I'm okay with the merch and different album editions as I tend to think it's catering for collectors... in the same way I can't buy a lot of stuff, if that makes sense.
I am a streaming person but I do buy TS CDs (and the 1975 as well) as some things are too important to not have hard copies.
I see TTPD selling out already but I am not sure what a heartbreak album is going to be like and don't feel the need to pre-order. As a fan from the start, I still feel like the volume of content is just huge and I wish I had more time to sot and listen.
I suspect TTPD will be styled kind of like Folklore and Evermore. I think they're great and clearly they brought in a lot of new fans but they aren't my favourites.
Given her song choices to introduce it, I think it's looking that way?
@WrenNatsworthy I know this is left field for an uplifting choice but Starlight? Dreaming impossible dreams seems like a good note?
There's New Year's Day as well - not uplifting but "hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you". I listened to that a lot after dad, and I think she first did it live on Jimmy Fallon's show when his mum passed away.
But I think Long Live is the best choice tbh.
