They should do it! Taylor-gating was a massive thing in the US, there was footage of a stadium with 80,000 odd people inside and then 20,000 outside all singing along and having a great time.

I absolutely can't wait for June, part of my excitement is just the experience of those crowds full of joy and excitement.

My only issue is that it's my DD's first ever concert and it's going to set a seriously high bar - everything else will be disappointing in comparison!

If you haven’t seen the Making of a Song series she did for reputation I recommend, I particularly like the one for gorgeous. Hoping she gives is gorgeous (Taylor’s Version) (sad girl piano version) with some of the original lyrics.

I was SO HAPPY when Taylor debuted Anti Hero at the 1975 concert last year. I was on Twitter and it just exploded and it was just so joyous. I swear, I forgot it was winter the rest of the month because it just brought so much happiness 🥰🥰🥰

Can anyone advise on parking in Liverpool for the Taylor Swift concert at Anfield please - ideally pre-bookable? Have used Q Park in other UK cities which were very good but don't know Liverpool at all. Happy to park a distance away & walk. Thanks 😊

I am experiencing some emotional upheaval as a result of a medication change, the result of which is that I have cried today because I was thinking about how awesome Taylor Swift is, and then again later because I was so happy for her because now she actually is dating the guy on the football team!

I'd better get these pills sorted out before June or I am just going to sob my way through the entire bloody concert 😂

I don't pay much attention to her private life but as far as I can tell, he had a crush on her for ages.

I like the way the end of the music in "August" slips away, like a bottle of wine.

She makes it very uplifting on stage but the fade out on the actual track makes me feel melancholy and I'm guessing that was the idea.

I end up staring into space after it ends! 😂

OK so it's fan to fan resale and there are some showing for some dates. They have a recycle sign beside them apparently. On ticketmaster and axs.

So she has announced another version of TTPD available for 72 hours, this time with a different bonus track to the standard store one. Like damn, can we stop with the multiple variants of every album!? This one isn’t out yet and already you need to own 2 versions to have all tracks currently announced 🙄 I know the OP said she wanted this to be a positive space but this is a huge gripe of mine, encouraging excess consumption and profiteering from fans to break records, when she will do that anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m at the point where these announcements make me feel more deflated than excitedly anticipating the album. Like “oh 🫤” not “oooh 🤩”

Yeah I'm not keen on the multiple versions of albums, but I have to admit I mostly just listen on Spotify so I get to hear all the tracks that way. I guess artists make so little money through sales now, this is a way of combatting that.

Totally agree Summa (and hi from the Weekly New Recipe thread 👩‍🍳 ). I groaned when I saw the announcement. I think with Midnights you need four versions of the album to have every track and I really don’t want Tortured Poets to go the same way. It’s the fact it’s her most loyal fans who pay the most for it which pisses me off most. And it’s all driven by FOMO. There have been so many “24 hours only”, “super limited edition” sales, which have ended up still widely available months later. No one is forced to buy it, but capitalist queen Taylor is far from my favourite Taylor.

I gwt that collect all the different vinyls etc but personally I wouldn't be spending the £. However I just listen to everything on Spotify where you get all the extra songs anyway without paying. (Obv pay for the Spotify)

I mostly listen on Apple Music so get things digitally for no extra cost, but that meant for me to get the full picture of Midnights, including You're Losing Me and Hits Different it was over a year. The Bolter and The Manuscript are described as exclusives for her store I think. These do normally filter down but the 2 Midnights tracks I mentioned here took months and months. Bring back when she had standard version and deluxe version. I'm not worried about her income.

I have also gotten into vinyls and the idea of having to have multiple versions and changing the disc for the sake of one different song sort of kills interest in album for me in that format. It's a shame, but if the complete project isn't accessible in one unit (I know with her length of album they are easily 4 sides) then it's a bit rubbish from the POV of the end user.

and yeah, the Jade "limited edition" vinyl I preordered for Midnights was still available very recently. And it doesn't have the 3am tracks which I will admit was hugely disappointing to be encouraged to preorder an album she had plans to supersede with 7 extra tracks within 3 hours 🙃

But not everyone uses a streaming service or wants to. Some people just want to buy the albums they listen to and own their own music collection. Except now Taylor Swift fans who do that need at least two (and presumably more to come) albums. And if you want to pre-order, you need choose which bonus track you want that you haven’t heard before on vibes. Because the vinyls are limited releases, you can’t wait and see what becomes available later.

The bonus tracks tend not be released immediately onto streaming services either so by the time I get them they don’t feel like part of the album. The model of having two albums available for pre-order (a standard and a bonus content version) makes sense and then everyone know what they’re getting and it feels fair.

But Taylor had the Midnights preorder (which you needed to buy for presale tour access) then dropped the 3am edition after the release, so everyone who preordered (who presumably were the biggest fans) didn’t have those bonus tracks.
