Shrewsbury Folk Festival is very child-friendly with lots of activities for different ages.

It's not the same as a big festival you camp over for but I went to Radio 1's Big Weekend on the Saturday this year and there were lots of families having a great time.

I have been only once to a "festival" (camp wildfire) so I am not very familiar with any of them.. so quite open to explore ;)
