I had my first piano lesson yesterday and I'm so excited to be finally learning!
It was a 30 minute lesson and we started with using Jason Thompson's books. I know these are obviously aimed at younger students but I managed to get over half way through the book during the lesson.
I'm practising this morning and it feels like I'm picking things up! 🥰
Is there anyone else here who has learnt in recent years? How quickly did you find you picked things up, I'm expecting it will probably be a couple of years before I can play anything intermediate but I'm curious to know what may be possible within a couple of months?
