… and is it common for audience members to come in vintage dress for the occasion?
During lockdown a friend introduced me to Post Modern Jukebox and Scott Bradlee through their YouTube videos. I absolutely fell in love with what they do and I’m frequently showing DH videos that pop up on social media. We had a party last summer at a venue with a vintage theme and I included a lot of PMJ music in my playlist mixed in with genuine 30s/40s stuff, which went down very well.
Anyway DH surprised me at Christmas with tickets to their U.K. tour in May which I’m really excited about. However I have started to see a lot of photos of people at their live shows arriving in vintage dress and I’m wondering how common that is? Is it something that the majority do or is it just a small few? Do you look out of place if you don’t - I wouldn’t mind dressing up at all but not sure DH would! Also the pictures I’ve seen are all from the US tour so I don’t know if it’s more an American audience thing.
TIA to anyone who might know about this sort of thing
