Does anyone know anything about harmonicas?

DD3 would like a harmonica for Christmas. She is 15 and plays a few instruments (strings not wind) to a pretty high standard. She quite likes teaching herself other instruments and has asked for a harmonica as one of her Christmas presents. I know nothing about harmonicas (nor does she). Can anyone tell me if there is a make that is considered the 'go to' in the world of harmonicas, what sort of price I need to pay to get something that makes a decent sound (dd will not enjoy anything that sounds like a 'toy'/isn't a 'real' musical instrument) and which key is the most usual/useful/should I choose (there seems to be a choice)? And any other pointers gratefully received!

You need a Hohner Special 20 in the key of C diatonic hermonica which is the most recognised beginners to intermediate harmonia and most lessons on YouTube are in the key of C as there are no sharps or flats. . Its good for popular music, folk or blues. About £35. What sort of music does she like to play, look at YouTube for beginners lessons and see what she likes.

this looks like a better seller and it's cheaper, I hope she enjoys it, it's not an easy instrument to learn.
