Hi, my dd is going to start to learn how to play acoustic guitar, her teacher recommend 3/4 , but I'm worried if that size wouldn't be too big for her to start with?
Would 1/2 be too small?
TIA

We’ve just gone for 1/2 with my tall 6 year olds (she’s as tall as some 8 year olds, limbs in proportion). But by the time she’s 8 she’ll definitely be on a 3/4 assuming she keeps growing in proportion.
if you go to a guitar shop they should let you try one and give advice - thats what we did. Worked out a little more expensive than buying blind online but very worth it for the advice and support, also got strings, tuner etc and they were very good with her.
