50th birthday party playlist

Will be outdoors, very relaxed with a hog roast, drinks, ice cream, all ages from 0-80s, around 100 people

Need a playlist to cover around 7/8 hours; got quite a few already but want to make sure I am not missing any absolute bangers!

What would you definitely have to include?

Queen, Abba, Lionel Richie, REM, Stevie Wonder, Bon Jovi, Phil Collins, Beatles, Tina Turner, Whitney, Elton, Bryan Adams, Spice Girls, Ed Sheeran, plus obviously finish with the Grease Megamix and Dirty Dancing!

My 50th birthday playlist ranged from oasis, Madonna, Beatles, Bowie, Janis Joplin, Aztec camera, chemical brothers, Darude, Massive attack pet shop boys, Manson, Stones, ELO , prince, Roisin Murphy, Neil young, George Michael and tons more. I shared it with a few people and got them to add to it.

For my parents 50th wedding anniversary we had a song from every year of the 50 years. It was great

Are you starting off relaxed/background music, and then building up to upbeat/dance type music? I did this for my 40th and worked really well, but invested a lot of time in sorting the running order. I am a playlist freak! 🤣

I wondered about ordering it but just too stressful so going to whack it in shuffle and hope for the best

As well as above already had some Pink, Stereophonics, Spice Girls, Republica, Supergrass, Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, Katy Perry, DNCE, Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding and about 15 newer ones from this year that Dd (16) added!
