We've got Pulp Fiction, Blues Brothers & Guardians of the Galaxy. I've just treated myself to The Lost Boys soundtrack and scaring the cats belting out Cry Little Sister.

Which has got me wondering which soundtracks (you can currently buy / download) everyone else likes?

Cruella!

I've not heard The Lost Boys' soundtrack for years! I loved Cry Little Sister.
Jesus Christ Superstar is fabulous! So funky and the singing is amazing!
I love Hamilton too.

Kill bill. Grosse Point Blank.

boringaccountant · 19/01/2022 20:53

The Lost Boys is my favourite soundtrack! Highlander has a great one too.

The Umbrella Academy and Peanutbutter Falcon are two of my current favourites. I also enjoy Bloodwitch, a band created for a TV show about an angry teenage girl who had some destructive power - can't recall the name. I love soundtracks and am often googling songs from films for my Spotify!

Romeo & Juliet
Trainspotting

I love Classic FM's Saturday Night at the Movies! So much to discover and enjoy. They recently covered the LOTR soundtrack, absolute genius

Officer and a Gentleman. Thelma & Louise. Reservoir Dogs. Practical Magic for chilling on the sofa ☺️.

Top Gun
Dirty dancing
Breakfast club

TheAnswerIsDontThinkAboutIt · 19/01/2022 21:48

Thelma and Louise is great!

A couple I used to love from the 80s - Repo Man and Until The End Of The World. The films are just OK but the soundtracks are great.

And a crap film with a fantastic soundtrack is Batman Forever.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is great for some 90s teen jams.

toppkatz · 19/01/2022 21:50

Local Hero has a brilliant soundtrack.

FlorencenotRatchet · 19/01/2022 21:57

Goodfellas is a great soundtrack

BillyAndTheSillies · 19/01/2022 22:01

Drive and Romeo & Juliet are my all time favourites.

elQuintoConyo · 19/01/2022 22:02

I also have The Lost Boys - utterly classic.

On cassette/CD I have:

Dances With Wolves
The Piano (both very emotional)
Breakfast Club
Dirty Dancing
Top Gun
Rocky Horror
Twin Peaks - makes me cry!
Batman - by Prince.

Nothing after about 1992 Grin

dingledanglewoowoo · 19/01/2022 22:17

Trainspotting! Absolute classic.

As an Eddie Vedder / Pearl Jam fan I love the soundtrack to Into The Wild.

Forest Gump

Buena Vista Social Club.

The Beach
Captain corelli’s mandolin

Bridget Jones’ Diary

I was trying to explain the concept of film sounds tracks to my teenager recently and they didn’t really get it! When I was that age I loved them. Good morning Vietnam is great. Mermaids also good. As well as most of the ones mentioned. I wore out my Grease sound track tape and had to buy a new one

ThreeFeetTall · 19/01/2022 22:36

The Big Chill

iklboo · 20/01/2022 12:30

Some brilliant suggestions. Thank you. I can feel my bank account emptying!
