Honest opinions on my singing

I'm the girl singing in the video, I know I'm a bit delayed with the singing as I couldn't match it exactly right.

I've heard all my life that I can sing but I don't believe it and I don't know whether to try and continue with my hobby of singing or not.

I just want honesty and that's all. Here is a link to my tiktok video, I'd really appreciate any advice.

You’d sound better on your own, I’m not keen on the duet but you have a lovely tone to your voice & if you enjoy singing you should continue anyway.

I can hear some beautiful tone in your voice so I suspect you are a very good singer but singing lessons would probably be needed to make sure you protect your voice.

If it's a hobby that you enjoy, it shouldn't matter whether you're like Mariah Carey or a fog horn! just continue to enjoy it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Id like to see another video. I don't think that song does you any favours (it's a rubbish song) and can't hear you very well over him but what i can hear of your voice sounds good.

Thank you for your honesty guys. I used to have singing lessons as a kid but I'm too embarrassed to have them now but singing has always made me happy. I'm not sure what type of song suits my voice x

You have a nice sounding voice. But you do not know how to use it. I belong to a choir and have been amazed what difference vocal coaching does. You have natural talent it just needs polishing.

In all honesty op, I don’t think you will ever be a professional singer and I don’t encourage you to ditch the day job but your voice is lovely, you definitely can sing and you should absolutely sing for enjoyment. You wouldn’t make a fool of yourself. However I think your voice is very nice rather than X factor exceptional if that makes sense.

I think you have a really good, compelling singing voice. I wouldn't give up if I was you. I've been having singing lessons and my voice is 10% of yours. I've already decided to give lessons because I don't have a naturally good voice and there's not much I can do about it. If I had your voice then I wouldn't give up.

I think you sound lovely and singing lessons will just improve your technique further. Singing teachers won’t find listening to you sing at all embarrassing, it’s literally their job.

Have you thought of finding a local choir as well/instead? Rock Choir looks a lot of fun and it’s all over the country.

I enjoy singing and would recommend joining a choir and practicing. Perhaps you could just record tik tok videos and then you can listen to yourself (I hated listening to myself on the videos I did for virtual choir recording sessions).

I can't tell from that video if you can sing. You aren't in time. It just sounds like you are singing along with him not harmonising. His voice drowns you out (he's known for his powerful voice, he's amazing). Plus that song is awful.

If you like Rhianna how about Titanium? Thats good for soprano, although you might be more alto. Choose something that works with your voice.

I like your voice. Think vocal coach is a good idea - not because you aren't in tune, to my ear you are - but to make sure as a pp said, you can protect your cords.
