DH and I are tossing around ideas for where we move to when we leave London. He's been in bands for all his life but in the 5 years or so he's found it hard to find anything in London because most of the active gigging bands and the audience here are now a lot younger than he is, plus there's a more emphasis on the image and promotion side and less on just having a laugh with mates.
We are wondering whether there are towns out there with more of a "dads' bands" scene - basically, mates playing together and doing the odd pub gig to friends and family. Are there places like that still around?
