Bat Out of Hell is the album that, as a child, first got me into rock music.
For me, the music/power/words, make it one of my top 5 albums ever even now. And the album cover is a work of art.

He was an incredible talent. He wrote far more than people think. His own album was brilliant too but not a chart topper.

Did you know that he wrote the music for a German musical called Tanz der Vampire which is massive in Germany and features the song Totale Finsternis (Total Eclipse of the Heart).
