I'm having a shit time, one bit of bad news after the other at the moment.
What songs do you listen to when you feel like crying all the time?

I last cried to Ed Sheeran - Perfect - but I was drunk and am infertile, its the line "to carry children of our own" that upsets me.

Beth Nielsen Chapman has written songs that touch your soul. I love “ Find Your Love” which was in the film “ The Calendar Girls”. Can’t listen to it without sobbing. Another one is “ Somewhere Over The Rainbow” sung by Eva Cassidy. I’m in bits every time.

DonLewis · 20/05/2020 23:28

Slightly out there choices maybe, but Paint My Heart by the Teskey Brothers. Every single time.

And Beth Hart. There's one about her sister. But Beth Hart is just so talented that listening to her in the right mood can set me off big time.

binkyboinky · 21/05/2020 00:32

The Woman's Work, by Kate Bush, always sets me off

ParkheadParadise · 21/05/2020 00:38

I could never say Goodbye - Enya.

Dancing in the Sky - Dani and Lizzy.

Joecleere · 15/07/2020 11:27

Hey everyone, I just released a song called "innocence" about what it's like to be parent. I have two of my own 1and 3yr and wrote it with another parent. about not wanting them to find out all the troubles of the world. "I don't want to wipe the innocence from your eyes" it's Joe Cleere - innocence (from your eyes)

Joecleere · 15/07/2020 11:34

I also find music can be a great avenue if your feeling down or frustrated. It's usually in two forms though. Either complete escapism super positive - elbow "one day like this"

Chicago - Sufjan Stevens

Or touches your soul and makes you confront your feelings.

Macklemore - same love

Lisa hannigan - Lille

Aimee Mann - just like anyone

Adele - 2/3s of every album lol 😂

AuntieMarys · 15/07/2020 11:36

Disturbed's version of The sound of silence
