Music question

Apart from my mp3 player how else can I get music on my phone?
I tried Spotify but after a week of listening to music I had saved in the playlist it's suddenly wanting to shuffle them and I can't seem to add anymore to the playlist. I don't want to pay a subscription because I only want to download a few songs.
YouTube has ads after each song I've saved to my playlist too.
What has everyone got on there phone? I walk pretty much everywhere within reason and it makes a nice change to have music/earplugs.

I use Apple Music so don’t download anything to the actual phone.

What phone do you have?

Ah, I see.
I have huawei, but I've been messing all evening and I've just discovered YouTube on the Google play store, no adverts! Grin So, I've just put all my fav songs on the playlist, really easy.
I have an mp3 player and used to buy songs from amazon music mp3 but I want some different songs now, or I downloaded them from a CD in my laptop, from laptop to mp3 player but new laptop does not have the slot for a CD.
I take it you have the apple iPhone?

Thank you for replying.

Amazon Music? I have a Prime subscription, but that allows me to download loads of music for free (although not all that it says it will!).

Oh, that's good!
Spent a small fortune over the years on there downloading them.
