What app for music on iPhone?

So I need an app for music on my iPhone, I've heard Spotify is amazing but I have looked online and it's £9.99 per month unless you go for the basic one which is free. Is the basic one any good?

If not can you recommend another app that's cheaper / free but good?

Also I think I can get 6months free Apple Music with my phone contract but will then have to pay £10 per month

I love Spotify and feel it's worth the money, I was given 9 months free Apple Music, tried it for a week and went back to paying for Spotify because Apple Music was so poor!

Thank you for your reply. What is much better about Spotify rather than Apple Music?

I felt on Apple Music that it was a chore to find the music I wanted to listen to and that their own playlists were terrible.

Spotify has loads of playlists for all different moods and events that are usually really good. They also use information about what you listen to and make playlists of songs they think you'll like and again are usually great.
Spotify has introduced me to quite a few new artists that I wouldn't have come across otherwise!

(I feel I should get some kind of reward from them for banging on about them to everyone Grin)

I use Spotify.
I did try the Apple Music on the free trial but as person said above Apple Music makes it so difficult to find the music you want and actually Spotify have some really good playlists that introduce you to really good music you may not have necessarily chosen.

I would go for Spotify time and time again.
