Oh hello!

Stumbleine · 25/06/2017 00:01

Hello!

Stumbleine · 25/06/2017 00:01

Have to admit I have found myself faltering in my worship these past couple of albums.

Deux · 25/06/2017 00:02

He's got my perimenopausal heart fluttering.

Amazing stamina. And many other things.

PseudoBadger · 25/06/2017 00:03

Me too. Just replay OOS and pretend nothing much else ever happened Grin

MyGastIsFlabbered · 25/06/2017 00:03

Most Muse-y things I've done:
Walked up the aisle to Feeling Good

Favourite Song:
Bliss-this is my absolute favourite song in the whole world and has been ever since I saw Muse perform it in TOTO back in the day.

I've seen Muse 5 times, best gig was Teignmouth in 2009...I was about 10 weeks pregnant with DS1 and felt rotten, but wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I must admit I really struggle with 2nd Law, think I've actually only listened to it about twice. But Drones is showing a promising return to form (I hope)

Yepity yep, happy to be on both threads.

Stumbleine · 25/06/2017 00:09

I'm an absolution girl.

Deux · 25/06/2017 00:09

Oops, meant to post that on the other thread. Blush

MyGastIsFlabbered · 25/06/2017 00:10

I think they peaked somewhere between Absolution and Black Holes

Yu could be right Gast! Favourite song - I think it would have to be Hysteria.

PseudoBadger · 25/06/2017 12:16

My favourite song is Citizen Erased. My favourite gig was Shepherd's Bush Empire which was tiny and amazing.

Do any of you like Royal Blood?

MyGastIsFlabbered · 25/06/2017 15:16

I love Royal Blood. Saw them support the Foos 2 years ago. Very tempted to go and see them in November.

I'm here! Favourite gig was Wembley stadium in 2010. Just amazing. We were standing and got quite close to the stage. I agree that the last couple of albums have been a let down - I do really like Psycho though so not all bad!

CJCreggsGoldfish · 25/06/2017 15:20

I really like Royal Blood too.

Stumbleine · 25/06/2017 18:05

I have told this story before (but I'll tell it again!) I have met Matt. I was working in a dry cleaners and he came in with some pvc trousers!!

This was I think in about 2000 and I only had a vague idea of who they were at that time!

momdancing · 25/06/2017 18:15

Been a fan since I got hold of a cassette of Showbiz in 2000. I was at the Wembley gig in 2010 and it was immense. The alien spaceship. The circus acrobats descending. The elevating, LED platforms upon which Matt killed it on his guitar.

Not so sure about Dig Deep, Drones veers into too lo-fi territory for me but love Defector - feels like a return to wacky form. Matt is definitely getting more radical and unhinged with time.

Let's not mention the Kate Hudson episode eh?

Cocolepew · 25/06/2017 18:15

I'm going to see them in August Grin. DD1 is a massive fan, I really like them but like she does.
We saw them last year and I'm looking forward to seeing them again.
Plus I'm love with Chris.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 25/06/2017 18:45

Stumble I am so, so jealous. I want to marry Matt Bellamy. I totally blame Kate Hudson for Muse's dip in quality....same as I blame Gwyneth Paltrow for Coldplay's!

I've just realised the video to Bliss is basically about suicide isn't it? I mean, when he throws himself off the space station he must know he's doomed? Or is that the only way he can hope to experience 'bliss'? Am I overthinking because I've got a huge dose of Weltschmerz tonight and everything is doom & gloom?

Big fan here too - only seen them twice. Once at SECC which was a horrible venue and then front at Manchester last year which was brilliant.

Even after all the recent stuff I always go back to Starlight as my favourite - love doing the clapping along!!

Really don't like Dig Deep and hope this isn't the sound of things to come Hmm

ZanyMobster · 23/08/2017 12:12

Big fan here. Seen them 5 times, my 9 yos first gig was Muse at the O2 a couple of years ago, we got home at 330am and he kept falling asleep at school the next day Grin

We had Feeling Good as our walk back down the aisle song.
