Any harpists around?

How difficult is it to teach yourself to play a 12 string harp? I can read music (treble and bass mainly, but have had to read alto and tenor clefs) and have sung to grade 5 level, played the guitar for many years, and also dabbled in violin and double bass.

Money is the limiting factor here, I appreciate that for a harp the more strings the better, but I can't justify the cost, sadly, but I've always wanted to learn to play one. I also have very small hands, a 3/4 size guitar is the right size for me.

Any help gratefully received.
