I've just cobbled together a CD of chart hits from 1975, specifically January to March. Some examples:

I'm a seventies child and I consider it to be the best era for chart music. 1978 and 79 had some good songs as well.
Sadly many seventies classics have become cliches after chronic over-playing. For example, Dancing Queen, Layla, Hotel California, Baker Street inter alia.
What songs and eras do you folks like and dislike. Are there any other classics and cliches ?
