Completely agree! Although, in my case, my dad's old raincoat combined with my lack of height meant that I looked like I had no feet and that I glided around on coasters. I was a right catch, me.

My massive raincoat was too long too (early 90s) so I wore massive black and white platform trainers so it didn't scrape along the floor, and the awful make up, oh my goodness I thought everyone was looking at me as I swanned past because I was so gorgeous, now I know they were looking because they couldn't quite believe the state of me haha.
