Queen + Adam Lambert

If you are so inclined, here's a youtube link for a 2 hour concert Queen did in Kiev yesterday:

It was filmed for Ukrainian tv as a tie-in with the football so the quality of the recording is very good. Crowds of 250,000.

It's the first time Queen have done a full concert with Adam Lambert so it takes a while for Adam to relax into it. The second half is glorious.

I like Adam Lambert and I liked Paul Rodgers with John Taylor and Brian May but they are NOT Queen.

Yea, on a serious note - if you don't want to see Roger and Brian perform without Freddie and John then you reeeeally aren't going to like watching them perform with Adam. It's a lot different to how they were with Paul Rodgers, who always seemed to me to be just there as a vocalist. This process now seems a lot more collaborative.

I haven't watched the clip yet.
I did see some stuff with Paul Rodgers (who is in my top five of favourite singers.) But it is not Queen IYSWIM! However I was never a huge fan of Queen post News of the World. I switched off to them after that!

Now I'm especially curious to know what you think if you rate Paul Rodgers that highly. :)

For a pre-News of the World song that was good in that video, scroll to 1hr 24 minutes for Somebody to Love.
