A rock song with a refrain that sounds like "wankers"? I say it was, friends not so sure

Help me please I am way out of my depth as I do not know much about any kind of non-Radio 3 music (though I am trying to learn)

Was out with friends hearing a rock covers band and they did a song that none of my friends knew (I know nothing of course) - at various points people put a fist in the air and shouted something that I am certain was "wankers"

Any light anyone can shed on this would be greatly appreciated. I need this song to hum under my breath at church in certain situations

Could it possibly be Bonehouse?
Can't find it on youtube (perhaps not surprising) but it's got the lyrics www.spirit-of-rock.com/parole-groupe-Bonehouse-nom_album-Wankers-l-en.html

Ooo thank you for this. I think our one had slightly less angry lyrics (or at least I'd have noticed some of the fucks even though we were mostly trying to have a supportive conversation at that point) so probably not.

yes, that song certainly is...passionate Grin
Can't think of any others though, sorry.

You could always sing AC/DCs Thunderstruck and changer the thunder chants to wankers Grin

I wonder if it was a parody in fact, but in that case I would have thought it would have been of something sufficiently well known that my friends would have recognised it.

Thanks for helping anyway.

Don't look back in anger by Oasis? Translates to don't look back you wanker

mrsgboring · 04/02/2012 21:49

Ah no Billy, I actually kind of know that one, but like the alternative words Smile

Giyadas, I think you have cracked it, thank you!! Now I've listened to Thunderstruck, I think that's what it was. Now whether it was a bizarre mishearing or a parody is something we might never be sure of, but hey, it all adds to the fun really Grin

Smile cool.

Don't look back you wanker will now forever be the words to Oasis Grin
