Please recommend a website for downloading music other than iTunes

iTunes is good for me, but DH has a non-Apple mp3 player and apparently music files bougth off iTunes isn't compatible or something
It would be better to buy music we can both use..

Also, must be legal, although don't mind if it's cheaper than iTunes!

Amazon is slightly cheaper and often have free tracks on it.

Another thought some time CD's are dirt cheap in some places to buy it is often worth buying it and uploading it to itunes.

i know its an old post - but just incase your still looking....

I have a standard sony mp3 and i download my music free from Beemp3.com
can be a bit tricky to work it out at first as it opens loads of pages, then you have to make sure you save it or it the song will be lost.

then again im no computer geek and it probably is easier if you know what your doing .....unlike me! hope it helps
