Classical music for Hallowe'en

Want something different as the soundtrack to our Hallowe'en party this year, and thought there have to be some excellently creepy/dramatic pieces of classical music.

Any suggestions?

So far I can come up with Night on Bald Mountain, and that's it. Because I'm a bit rubbish obviously [hgrin]

Danse macabre by saint-saens (aka jonathan creek theme tune :o)

Ritual fire dance by de falla (not sure I've got that exactly right sorry)

Opening of beethoven's fifth symphony

Third movement of moonlight sonata

Some of Griegs peer gynt suite is very atmospheric - 'in the hall of the mountain king' is good, and I like 'anitra's dance' too.

Mars from the planet suite (Holst) is quite angry-sounding... As is a lot of the music I listen to, come to think of it Confused

Second the Danse Macabre-superb.

Ooh ooh what about socerers apprentice by Dukas?

Mahler's first symphony is great, I think the first movement would be good but can't check as I don't have it on cd :(

I love you lot! This stuff is excellent!

You can't beat a bit of Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, especially the fifth movement Songe d'une Nuit de Sabbat
