...all Peel show listens from the 80s. Sigh....

They were an indie band in the late 90's, did 2 albums and were never particularly popular. Loved them though!

am reviving this thread so I can mention a couple

Things Fall Apart by Cristina. Anne Nightingale used to play it back in '83 or so all the time!

The The - Uncertain Smile. 'Tis brillig.

Empty Bottles - Ben Watt (the other half of EBTG). His 'North Marine Drive' album is up there in the stratospher IMO.

De-Luxe by Lush. Still one of my fave bands ever.

Anyone else?

Llanbobl - you'd think, but when a colleague at work asked for everyone's favourite songs for some kind of work do quiz, that very song was rejected by him when I volunteered it as 'no-one would have heard of it'.

So I think that qualifies it absolutely for this thread
