fox on the run...ballroom blitz...blockbuster...love is like oxygen...if you are in your mid 40s like me you will likely remember those songs?
if so were you a sweet fan?
if so what was your favorite song and who did you fancy the most in the group?
and did you ever get to see the sweet live in the 70s?
I think slade and the sweet and the bay city rollers( I could not stand them lol)
were the most popular groups of the 70s...if they were just starting now do you think they would be as popular as they were in their heyday?
I was a huge elvis fan in the 70s...absolutely loved his records.

I was a Mick Tucker fan. Let's face it, not much to choose from really. Teenage Rampage and Ballroom Blitz for me but love a bit of Poppa Joe. Little Willy is really quite rude, which obviously went completely over my head as a school kid. Gotta love a band who sang "Alexander Graham Bell, haven't you done well" Only 2 of them left now Sad

Oh, I fancied Ray Stiles. And both have lost drummer and lead singer - spooky

I saw Sweet and Mud in the early 90's not long before Brian C died I think. I used to work with Les Gray's wife, she was lovely and when she talked about her weekend I used to imagine him in his drape and brothel creepers in the garden centre etc.
