Are there any other Manics fans on here?

Hello Empusa. Yes I am. Saw them at Brixton earlier this year. They are fabGrin

Empusa · 31/08/2011 21:43

I haven't seen them live in years!

Which is your favourite album?

I used to live over the road from Nicky Wire. He's very handy with a lawnmower.

Empusa · 31/08/2011 21:45

I'd heard he was a bit houseproud! :)

I love them all. Are any of you going to see them at the o2?

When I saw then at Brixton they did a really good set of old through to new. Only problem with brixton is the acoustics are terrrible.
I know the o2 show will be fab and I am very tempted but am supposed to be saving moneySmile

i liked them ages ago, was reading an interview in red magazine with richie's sister. it was really sad. wonder what really happened to him

Empusa · 01/09/2011 23:49

I can't afford to go see them :-( which is gutting.

I doubt we'll ever know about Richie. Hope he went somewhere and sorted himself out, doubt it though :-( Remember listening to a manics gig live years ago, and James talking about him and his voice cracking. :-(

I always had a crush on Nicky!!

Empusa · 02/09/2011 12:07

Manics fan here. The Holy Bible is required listening and the best album they recorded. I would put IMHO here, but it is pure FACT. FACT

AnathemaDevice · 22/09/2011 14:15

Another Manics fan here, can't wait for the O2 gig!

I've seen them 30 odd times, and named DS after Nicky Wire. I may be a tad obsessive...

CatPower · 28/09/2011 23:14

Love the Manics, have seen them far too many times. Not going to O2 just because it's far too far away, but nothing can beat seeing them in a tiny venue (200 people max) last year where they played Strip It Down, Donkeys, This Is Yesterday etc etc etc....

AnathemaDevice · 01/11/2011 19:13

Did anyone manage to get to any of the signings yesterday? They were all to far away from me to go, I spent the day looking at other people's pictures on Twitter and feeling jealous!

Loved them on Something For The Weekend on Sunday. James cooking and Nicky mucking about with a camera. Should have got Sean in to do the gadget section, really!

IwoulddoPachacuti · 01/11/2011 20:02

I'm gutted I'm not going to the O2 Sad

I love them! They make me happy, sad as that sounds

MegBusset · 03/11/2011 09:48

I'm going to the O2, can't wait Grin

Seen them loads, but not for ten years or so. The first time I saw them was 17 years and half my life ago

AnathemaDevice · 03/11/2011 15:09

O2 tickets arrived this morning

Pachacuti, can't you beg, steal or borrow a ticket? You don't sound sad for saying they make you feel happy, I'm the same.

Ryoko · 26/11/2011 00:16

Anyone else a bit depressed by the fact, this new singles album has just left them to relive how gutted they where when James found his way to the pie shop?.

Honestly watching the old music vids on Youtube, he used to be so hot, I forgot what he used to be like such a shame Sad
