So, everyone raves about them, i've heard a few tracks on the TV I quite like - which album(s?) should I buy first?
There's a track which has double claps in it that I really like, but I've no idea of its name - can anyone identify it for me?

Do I get extra points for vagueness?

I would start with the album 'Absolution'. Happy listening, you won't be disappointed. Muse are amazing and addictive.

personally i prefer their first three albums, not so keen on their stuff since absolution. you should definitely see them live if you ever get the chance, they are beyond amazing.

I personally would go for these albums in this order ( just my O)

1. The Resistance
2. Black holes and revelations
3. Absolution
4. Origin of Symetry

Then all the rest

I suggest starting with Black Holes and Revelations, then Absolution, then Origin of Symmetry, then The Resistance and Showbiz.
Then HAARP and Hullaballoo (live albums/dvds).

Not sure which song you mean with the claps but it could be Starlight, which is on BH&R.
