Hmm, interesting and bizarre sounding theory. Satanism in music.

I randomly stumbled across someone discussing this on here so I did alot of research and the findings have actually been quite shocking, it would seem tha a lot of celebs beyonce rhianna and jay z all seem to openly worship, from their hand gestures to what they wear etc.

I am fully aware this sounds totally bizarre and I assure you I am not insane, but have a Google and post your feed back. (can't do links as I'm on mobile) :)

I don't believe Kanye sacrificed his mum, no. Some of the theories attached to this are a bit wah wah. That's not so say there's nothing to it though.
Claig, I think Young is a rebirth into satanism, or whatever organisation it is. They are Young and Young B because they are new, and have a lot to learn still, they are becoming something, someone else, more powerful and knowledgeable.

My parents think I'm crazy and they hate the things I do
I'm stupid and I'm lazy, man, if they only knew
How flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher and higher
My uniform is leather, and my power is my age
I'm gettin' it together to break out of my cage
'Cause flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth will set the world on fire

Hello dancingmummy. I was on this thread last night and have just come back to it.
I don't think they know themselves what the actual plan is, just that there definitely is one.
And it's A Very Bad Thing.

claig · 20/03/2011 10:44

good point pinkfluffy, they are young adepts, newly formed acolytes. They still have a lot to learn from their Grand Master, whoever the current Aleister Crowley figure is.

dancingmummy · 20/03/2011 10:45

Agreed shinymoon

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 10:45

Can any doubters explain the lyric "Have you got the picture yet I'm painting you a portrait of Young". If he was talking about young as in age, how would that make sense as a sentence? He's blatantly asking you if you've clocked on!

dancingmummy · 20/03/2011 10:47

Literally, I can't take this seriously. Is this what you do with your days?! I wouldn't have the time to research this bullshit. Over and out.

claig · 20/03/2011 10:48

could it be a reference to The Picture of Dorian Gray, as well?

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 10:50

I don't have time either. I'm supposed to be writing an essay. But this is more interesting.
Take it seriously or not. It's true. You are doing exactly what the powers that be know you will do, minimise and scoff. That's why they don't care if some people "get it". I think some of you are very naive. There is more to life than playdates and the weekly shop.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 10:52

It could be Claig.

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 10:53

Having just read the lyrics I would suggest that what he means is that "I am painting you a portrait of what it would be like to be forever young"

But that sounds shit so he shortened it.

Lyricists do that all the time.

dancingmummy · 20/03/2011 10:54

LOL!!!! Yeah, you're right, googling devil theories for hours on end and neglecting menial tasks like the weekly shop is much more worthy.

If I "minimise and scoff", live my happy life which definitely does involve playdates and the weekly shop, then die oblivious, I can't say it would matter.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 10:54

But he refers to himself by the name Young in other songs, that have nothing to do with being young eg, "It's your girl B, it's your boy, Young" to introduce them.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 10:55

OK, keep your eyes closed. Nothing goes on that you don't know about, life is simple Hmm

dancingmummy · 20/03/2011 10:57

Ok, make up conspiracies to keep your days interesting. Hmm

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 10:58

LOL at keeping my days interesting. It's the classic "bored, no life" insult. My days are extremely intersting, and I'm glad I'm not shallow. I'm proud to be a deep thinker

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 10:58

Because if he said "It's your girl B, it's your boy, Old" or "It's your girl B, it's your boy, Middle-aged" it hardly has the same effect does it?

Being old is horrible and no fun. You get ill, parts stop working then you die. Being young is about being free to do what you want with your life, you have it all ahead of you. You are beautiful and healthy and energetic. It's much more poetic and romantic to sing about being young or young people. No-one wants to listen to a song about arthritis, going to the bingo and collecting your pension. How many people if given the choice would choose to be old?

claig · 20/03/2011 10:59

dancingmummy, the problem with going through life with "eyes wide shut" is that they may trick you into doing things that will harm you. It's not about pop music and Willow Smith, here today gone tomorrow. The message has another meaning.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 11:00

That's one interpretation, it sounds plausible. But taken with all the other stuff, I still think it means something else.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 11:01

DancingMummy hasn't even read the thread properly, Claig. That's why it was "you believe in the devil??!!!!" when we have both said we don't.

MikeHock · 20/03/2011 11:02

This is the best example yet

Sorry if it has already been linked to.

My theory is that Jay Z is in with a society who are paying him to get these messages across in music.

Not there is any point to that because 99% of the population doesn't have a clue, and are unlikely to turn to Satan worshipping after they've seen an image of a goat's head Hmm.

But I do agree that the imagery is blatantly there which I find quite creepy.

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 11:02

What could they trick you into doing that would harm you?

Drugs? suicide? self harm? promiscuity? Murder? You can't be tricked into doing anything like that unless you want to.

I have never listened to a song about cheating or drugs for example and thought "I must go and try that!"

Please, if god gave people free will what makes you think they won't be able to us it against evil?

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 11:03

Absolutely Mike.

claig · 20/03/2011 11:04

'Being old is horrible and no fun'
That's part of the message they want to sell you.

'How many people if given the choice would choose to be old?'
I don't want to be forever young, but that's what they want you to be. In the future, you may not be given the choice, you may not be given a pension. They say that you are destroying their planet.

dancingmummy · 20/03/2011 11:05

But who has ever been tricked into being harmed by this?! Harmed how?!

I agree as much as the next person that the media influences us hugely whether we like it or not-our children included, but when I ask what meaning the messages have you won't answer.

Pinkfluffy, I resent the "typical boring life" insult. Very childish, not true.
