Am I the only one who's just a little sad at the news that Mick Karn (from the band Japan), died yesterday.

Japan were such a big part of my teenage years, it's almost as if someone I know has passed away. Goodness that sounds so naff, doesn't it?

Anyone else remember/have memories of Japan at all?

Yes, I was sad. Him, Pete Postlethwaite, Gerry Rafferty - all these talents all in one go. Though yes, Japan were a pretty big part of my teenage years too.

I was more saddened today though to hear of the death of someone I was at college with. Awful.

I was a huge Japan fan. I've been watching Japan on Youtube and they were just brilliant. Mick was a great bass player. At least he is out of pain now but feel so sad for his wife and son. Sad times at the moment :(
