Xmas Grin

A little bit rockier maybe :) but my picks should all be mainstream, they're great!

Best albums:

ChimneysTooNarrow · 20/12/2010 19:48

Loving the Broken Bells love, it is an excellent album (although I wish James Mercer was cracking on with the next Shins album).

The only album I have played more this year is Contra by Vampire Weekend.

LyraSilvertongue · 21/12/2010 12:22

Contra's very good. Cousins has to be one of my songs of the year.

MrsCurly · 21/12/2010 12:27

Arcade Fire at the SECC

joydivisionovengloves · 21/12/2010 15:38

Mumford and Sons at Reading
Biffy Clyro at Reading
The Gaslight Anthem at the Apollo

ChimneysTooNarrow · 22/12/2010 15:34

I do love your name joydivisionovengloves. It has reminded me that actually my musical highlight this year was 6music being saved and professional fuckwit George Lamb being sacked leaving 6music to pursue other interests. I did a large hurrah both times Grin

natto · 22/12/2010 18:51

KOL at Hyde Park definately

would love love love to see Biffy Clyro & Gaslight Anthem

ChristmasTrolleyRage · 23/12/2010 19:10

I heard an unbeleivably fantastic song late one night on the radio, I didn't hear who they said it was, luckily some lines stuck in my head.

After some research - I worked out it was Through Glass by Stone Sour.

Please please, if you're a KOL/Biffy fan - give it a listen - it's incredible.
