Not quite a guestlist as such but me and DP went to JK's (as in jamiroquai), private 40th birthday party at his house.

i was once let into the london hippodrome free because we went in with an eastender actor, the highlife Grin

Amazing house yes, amazing grounds etc. The actual party was disappointingly in an amazing temporary structure thing in his grounds, a huge Moroccan thing. A few of his favourite cars in little areas around sides. Door to an outhouse which he has made into a proper little English pub with dart board, open fire etc. The fireworks by the lake were something else. Must have cost 10's of thousands! MAd amounts of bar staff making cocktails all night etc. A one off that I'll remember forever basically Smile

I always wondered where he got his money from, they werent that big for long were they? good investments I guess. I bet it was amazing. I love seeing peoples houses. Rich people!!

DP and I were discussing that. I guess you only need a couple of hits to make it big money wise. He hasn't done anything for ages. He was a Hyde Park this year playing just before Stevie Wonder so he must still have it. He has the most amazing collection of cars. He owns Coco Channels Rolls Royce, amongst many others.

Im not so sure, would depend if he wrote them all and didnt have to share royalties I suppose but, still, to make that kind of money you would have had to have cracked it in America as well. I dont know if they did. Im guessing its investments and maybe he has done things for other people. I wonder if he ever settled down?

Yeah I don't think D and I ever formed any conclusions re his money. Maybe his buying and selling cars is something to do with it??????

His house is literally like a stately home but modern. And the grounds are v v big.

And he's still single too! Tragic. I really, really used to fancy him but meeting him made him real and the attraction sort of fizzled a bit. However when he dances he makes me go a bit giddy! But on that subject that sort of annoyed me about him too, He'd come onto the dance floor at his party, do a few moves, totally amazing and then not hang around and I thought that was a bit odd / annoying.

Anyway, there you go.....

I knew of someone once who went to a party and David Bowie was there (I wouldve fainted) but, he stood in front of the mirror dancing, I have never been able to get that vision out of my head! one of my heroes too.

Didnt Denise say he was too wild for her in the end? not the settling down type.

I was invited to Mark Morrison's "Chocolate Sandwich" gangbag(??). Hmm Needless to say, I didn't go.

Was accosted in street, asked into the back of a shady-looking shop and given the invite, which had MM holding thong-clad ladies either side of him.
