Ian Dury

Just seen Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll- what a film.
But it really brought back loads of great memories of that era, the Stiff tour in the late Seventies........

Fantastic film, and a great actor (can't remember his name)

Ian Dury was a fabulous man.

I particularly remember seeing an interview with him when he was ill extolling the virtues of his drug tube as it was discreet and he could carry on his life as normal. I remember then just thinking how brave and switched on he was. Facing the reality of his own mortality yet saying "well my life is still normal so that's great". Great man.

Jools Holland and his band do a song called "Oranges and Lemons" about Ian Dury - it's fabulous.

My mum loved it.
