Is there definitely going to be a 50% cut to universal credit for the disabled who can’t work or is it just a proposal

Here's what MSE says: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2025/03/benefits-shake-up/

LCWRA will become linked to daily living PIP, so people may only qualify for LCWRA if they have PIP and PIP will become harder to get. For new claimants after April 2026 the LCWRA element will be £50 less than it is now and the whole work capability assessment will be phased out over the next few years. It's unlikely to affect people already receiving LCWRA unless they lose their PIP but LCWRA rates will be frozen from next year I think. This of course is if it is passed as law.
