Tips for travelling round London with wheelchair? And good wheelchair friendly places to go?

I'm a fairly recent wheelchair user and live in a village and so far have mainly used it for local trips along the paths or going to museums and things or taking my daughter shopping for the first time . It's an electric wheelchair as I don't have very much arm strength.

I'd like to go up to London for a day trip as I used to enjoy it before I got ill, but feel really nervous, is it easy managing the buses? Any tips? And what places are wheelchair friendly ?

What is it like navigating crowds /busy pavements etc?

Thank you!
