Blue badge security

If you have a blue badge do you take a precautions to stop it getting stolen? I’ve seen two types of display n lock blue badges holders. The one with bike type lock the other with padlock and metal link for steering wheel. If you use one what did you think? Helpful or waste of time?

I don't have any security for my blue badge. I have taken photographs of it though in case it is stolen.

I used to bring it in the house then take it out with me, but I'd forget it so now I just leave it in the car, tucked in the door pocket.

Locking mechanisms make me think it would attract even more attention, and if someone wanted it, could easily cut through if they had wire cutters on them.

I guess it also depends if you only use it to nip into Sainsbury's / hospital appts, or if its on your screen all night due to a marked disabled bay on the road.

Oh, Hi Akire. I've just realised it's you! 👋

Mine lies on the dashboard when it's being used and is in my centre console pocket when it's not. Wouldn't occur to me to get something for it. I think that would just be drawing attention to it

Thanks that’s helpful to hear. I live in London so hard to know what the odds are. Tesco carpark not so bad, if its dark side street I’m guessing more of a chancer. Getting a mobility car at some point (very exciting) so looking at options for things I may need. Never thought about it for occasional use in someone else car.
