Can anyone tell me if they have had success with applying for Adult Disability Payment for ADHD? If so what rate was awarded?

Thanks

There are far too many variables involved.

I could tell you I have but equally I may struggle with things you can do easily.

As it happens I do get enhanced ADP but ADHD isn't really part of it.

Its for my son not me, he's been awarded standard rate care, 1 point away from enhanced rate, he's been on high rate care of DLA/CDP Since he was 7 so I'm trying to work out whether or not it would be worth submitting. Redetermination

Can you evidence anywhere that you think he should have scored that extra point?

I don't know how their points system works so no, all its looks to me is 2 points here and there. Theres no explanation as to why 2 points were awarded

Hello, I applied for ADP in October and my case is currently with a case manager. I have ADHD but also other health conditions. I used this guidance to help me with the application. https://www.socialsecurity.gov.scot/asset-storage/production/downloads/The-Adult-Disability-Payment-application-form-and-how-to-interpret-it_1.pdf

it might be worth an appeal if you think you have extra information to add. Can I ask how long your son waited for a decision? Thanks!

We applied on the 2nd of October and a decision was made on the 21st of December.

Thank you, I am part of a Facebook group that is for adult women with adhd. I had a quick look there and there are a few woman who get the enhanced daily rate of ADP. It might be worth an appeal! Good luck x
