DLA claim form

Hiya,

Not sure if this is the right place, I’m new to all this. I was just wondering if anyone had recently returned a claim form? I returned mine on 13th May (stupidly put it straight into the post box) I have called them and they haven’t received it. They did mention about a back log getting them scanned on but I feel like it’s been too long now and probably gone missing? Thanks xx

Hi I’ve sent anything lately but it is always recommended that you photo copy everything then send it registered or signed for. The DWP have long record of having things go missing and not so much for first claims but when you have an award you do have time limits on sending things back. So having a spare copy and proof is really important.

Would you have to start all over again or did you have copy? Ring them and explain it’s gone missing. They will either extend claim time and send form or restart timing on new claim since it’s not been started.
