We have a new survey on the coronavirus pandemic, focusing mainly on your experiences of living under lockdown.

You may have seen or completed a similar survey on coronavirus a few days ago, but this is a new one to help us understand how we can help you navigate through these challenging times as people's attitudes and feelings change so quickly.

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnet users.

Click here to complete the survey.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

This is a very long survey - gave up! And also seems very concerned about beauty products - is that really the main thing people are thinking about Shock? Also there is a question about whether you're going to give up drinking water Grin. You have amused me Mumsnet.

Did the whole survey. How about including crochet in the question about knitting / sewing?
I suspect there are an awful lot of MNers who simply don’t have time for any hobbies / ways to keep themselves amused right now though.

Yep if you're still working where is all this extra time coming from to amuse yourself whilst self-isolating Confused I have less time!!!

After the last insight survey, lots of posters, including me, gave you feedback to say that the questions about "keeping yourself busy" were inappropriate for the many of us who are busier than ever with working from home, being in a job under pressure at the moment eg NHS, dealing with childcare/home educating challenges, caring for relatives etc. It doesn't look like this feedback was taken into account at all, so I haven't completed this survey.

Whoever wrote your survey doesn't seem to understand that many of us are still working and don't have any help at all that we might usually have, whether childcare (even stay & play playgroup) or cleaning and have been spending much more time grocery shopping due to helping family and restrictions.

Lolz at the idea of doing anything new to 'keep busy' - I'm not cooking to 'keep busy' I'm doing it to feed my kids!

It certainly reveals how easy some people must have it if they are spending their days trying to stave off boredom!

I thought also that putting the beauty product qs together with others about more serious subjects showed a bit of a tin ear.

Re the "book holiday" questions - unclear to me if you mean the booking date itself, or the departure date of the holiday you have booked.

That’s a really good point, FawnDrench.

My favourite part was when it asked about how often you're doing certain activities and whether there's any change in frequency since lockdown:

Q. Having sex.
A. Don't do this and not going to start.

Don't forget how many of us have lost or stand to lose our jobs because of this... I do have a lot more time on my hands than I did pre-coronavirus but I have a lot less jobs now.

I gave up. The survey was too long. I use beauty products with very limited ingredients, so I would never sign up for a subscription.

Yes a bit too long, but completed now

Some of the first questions should be:

Do you have roughly more/less/the same free time as before

Has your income been impacted
Not really/a little/ quite a bit/ significantly

Those alone completely change the outcome of the rest.

Some of us don't ever go on holiday btw 🤷🏽‍♀️

Why do you need exact age for this, rather than using age brackets?

When collecting personal data, surely you need to be able to show that it is necessary and proportionate, and I do not see why exact age is needed. Or perhaps there should be a 'prefer not to say' option?
