We have a new survey on the coronavirus pandemic, focusing mainly on your experiences of living under lockdown.

You may have seen or completed a similar survey on coronavirus a few days ago, but this is a new one to help us understand how we can help you navigate through these challenging times.

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnet users.

All who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw where 1 MNer will win a £100 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Complete the survey here.

Thanks and good luck!

Too many questions. Started and abandoned

TheClitterati · 27/03/2020 15:34

Is it going to ask me if I'm "male, female, or other"? Like other MN surveys?

If so I'll pass.

whatkindoffuckery · 27/03/2020 15:34

Done

Leeds2 · 27/03/2020 15:38

done

tiredmedic · 27/03/2020 20:14

Done.....but sort out the flippin drop down number thingies!

BlueBrush · 27/03/2020 21:37

Done. I think there were a lot of questions that implied everyone has loads of time on their hands now, but nothing that reflected my experience of lockdown which is that I'm feeling even busier than before (working a full day's worth at home, while also looking after children, and more housework because the children are at home all day making a mess etc.). But there's probably nothing anyone could flog me to help with any of that!

AudTheDeepMinded · 27/03/2020 21:38

Question 7 about keeping yourself busy does not account for the fact many of us are having to home school and have never been fucking busier.

zurala · 27/03/2020 22:13

Yes, a massive emphasis on shopping and crafts when actually I'm trying to work and look after the children and am run off my feet all day! Rather patronising to be honest.

DropZoneOne · 27/03/2020 23:50

Done - agree with those above, I'm busier than ever because i can't access the time-saving support i usually have - online shopping, cleaner, shops next to my office, convenience food / takeaways - whilst working ft from home and schooling my child

I wish i had extra time to take up a hobby!

Mumblechum0 · 28/03/2020 01:30

Agree with others, I'm a Will writer and currently working 14 hours to meet demand, whilst recovering from COVID. I have 0 time to piss about doing arts and crafts

HRH2020 · 28/03/2020 08:02

I did lol at all the activities we are supposed to be doing as others say I'm working full time as a key worker with an autistic child at home and recovering from covid symptoms so no time or energy to even do a jigsaw!

EmpressLangClegInChair · 28/03/2020 08:16

I started it, the phone rang so I didn’t finish it but I’ll go back - how about adding crochet to the knitting / sewing question though?

Macaroni46 · 28/03/2020 08:29

Done but felt a question about employment and whether people still need to go into work was missing

bucketofgin · 28/03/2020 08:50

Don’t understand why it’s asking two sets of questions about doing activities

Very aggravated by the questions about shopping and supermarkets - there was no option for ‘can’t’

bucketofgin · 28/03/2020 08:57

Also what’s the point of vouchers any more?!

Brokenchair1 · 28/03/2020 09:47

Q 17 really annoying and keeps changing.

IronNeonClasp · 28/03/2020 10:09

Done. Only took 5m it's 100 quids bunch of wimps Grin

Shockers · 28/03/2020 11:40

It kept changing my answers, so I’ve given up!

PoorlyWeasels · 28/03/2020 11:46

Didn't like the way the qs were asking "if schools close" when they all have.

Agree with everyone else that the crafts and keeping busy was patronising. No option to say I'm ill, WFH and home schooling a SEN 13 yo who doesn't want to co-operate, with other family members key workers who refuse to self isolate.

Poorly worded questionnaire. Can't see anyone getting anything meaningful out of that.

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 28/03/2020 11:53

@MNHQ I don't understand who this is open to - in Justine's post it says open to all mumsnetters but if you click on the insight t&c it says U.K. residents only. Which is it? Don't want to waste my time!

Sizeablecontours · 28/03/2020 13:42

ViveLEntenteCordiale

No the op says "This survey is open to all UK Mumsnet users."

Sadly, very few, if any, Mnsnet competitions and surveys are open to posters from abroad.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 28/03/2020 14:05

WTF is "other"?

We are ALL ultimately Male or Female sexed. There is no third sex!

Kannet · 28/03/2020 14:07

Done

teddy50 · 28/03/2020 15:42

Needs updating for the fact that schools ARE now closed

Suze1621 · 28/03/2020 17:23

Started but abandoned after attempting twice as it kept saying questions that I had answered needed an answer and would not let me move on. Repetitive and questions wrongly phrased eg 'will start' doing when the Gov'sbrestrictions came in on Monday and schools closed for over a week. Options limited and no 'other' option when all those listed were irrelevant. Didn't get to the end but do question the value of this and wonder about the brands questions.
