Here at MNHQ, we'd like to learn what sustainability means to you and to hear your opinions on how the brands you interact with meet your environmental expectations.

The survey is open to all MNers with at least 1 child. Please click here to complete the survey.

All who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw where 1 MNer will win a £150 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Done, but after I completed the third page it threw me back to the start again, persevered and it went better the second time round!

Some thoughts:

Re the questions to which there was obviously a right answer (like some products can only be recycled a certain number of times: true or false), would've been helpful to see the answers and a bit of explanation afterwards, for my own education.

Some questions were structured poorly, like asking whether I use or would consider reusable straws. There should be an option to say don't use as have no need for it.

That was epically long!

Phew, exhausted after that!! Agree that it wasn't a well worded survey!

I think there is probably irony to be found in me letting the toddler watch a YouTube video so I can do a survey in which I say that I try to encourage a healthy relationship with technology 😂

Wow, too long for me, lost the will to live when I got to the percentage increase in price you’d be prepared to accept section! I don’t know!!!

The questions are too vague and open to different interpretations - I don't see how you can get any meaningful results from this survey

I thought this survey was poorly drafted but it didn't crash for me.

Some questions were not well worded - eg do you use reusable nappies, there was no way to say that I did but children are past that stage now

Report
boatyIII · 25/01/2020 22:15

Done. But far too long! Didn't think it would ever end!!

Report
RetreatingWeasels · 26/01/2020 11:47

There were a number of questions where my answer was not applicable, but no option for this. I don't use menstrual products because I'm in menopause/my children are long out of nappies etc.

I am old enough to remember a time when food came in paper bags and bottles in glass, so to me it feels like we are going backwards. Also I remember WHY plastic packaging was brought in; there was a spate of food in supermarkets being tampered with. I don't believe this threat has entirely gone away.

Does MN publish who wins the prize for each survey? I've done so many and never won once. Could just be bad luck I suppose, but might help promote transparency if MN publicly discloses who has won each prize draw after the event.

Done, but like others think it was very poorly worded and pretty tedious to complete as a result

Done but it was a bit one size fits all. There was a question about cars ... I'd love to have an electric vehicle. But no White Vans are currently available to do what I need to do. And sharing a vehicle makes an assumption that people commute to A Workplace, stay there and do their thing, and come back again. That's not what we do. And finally I'm rather offended that you've shoved Dog Walker into Casual Jobs. As a result I've moved my personal description into Higher Managerial. What we do isn't casual at all.

Another thing that annoyed me was that in our household it is me that has been pushing sustainability for many years and it is my nearly grown up children (one in particular) who keep buying cheap tat new clothes, make up and toiletries made with non sustainable palm oil etc.
